How did the idea for the show come about?

Whilst discussing ideas for a podcast, Steve and Dan mulled over the idea of a paranormal podcast. Both love stories of the unknown, including aliens, cryptids and folklore. They had found that a majority of podcasts in the genre tend to either be very dry and dull, or over the top with comments on how everything strange is 100% real. Thus the idea of a paranormal podcast, with lashings of humour, nonsense and plenty of information seemed like the perfect idea. Thus the Boo-Foons were born.

What do you hope listeners take from the show?

The Boo-Foons Mystery Investigators hope that listeners come in for the story, stay for the humour and banter, then leave with a smile. Steve and Dan aim to entertain, whilst giving you as much as information about the mystery as possible. Boo-Foons is designed to be entertaining, informative and easy listening, meaning they hope listeners return for more.

What's been the biggest challenge for you?

As an independent podcast, the biggest challenge has been getting the name out there for listeners to discover the show. Luckily, through the use of social media the Boo-Foons Mystery Investigators have found themselves steadily growing.

How can your listeners support your show?

The biggest thing that listeners can do to support the Boo-Foons (and other independent podcasts for that matter) is to like, comment and share social media posts, as this will boost them on the algorithms. Also please spread the word of the podcast to as many of your friends and contacts as possible, to help increase the audience size.

Any future plans that you'd like to share?

The Boo-Foons have started a Saturday show called "Off the Case" which is a more relaxed and fun podcast without a "theme" as such. These have become very popular, as has the start of the YouTube video adventures. There are discussions about streaming video games and such on Twitch.
