A down-to-Earth sci-fi road trip, The Book of Constellations is a story about Rael, who claims to be the sole survivor of an alien race, as told by Simon, the man who went with him. On a quest to save humanity from the same malevolent force that destroyed his own people, Rael believes this “Darkness” resides in the Governor of the state. Rael makes his way west to the Capitol armed with nothing but his uncanny perception and empathy. He gathers allies along the way from the forgotten and lost of America. Rael’s obsession won’t allow him to mourn another world, but how far is he willing to go to save us?
The Book of Constellations is narrated audio fiction by W. Keith Tims.

No Return: An Audio Drama by Kier Zhou
No Return is a darkly comic British fantasy audio drama set in a vast, doomed world of gods, mercenaries, lost cities, political disasters and very bad decisions.
Each story follows flawed people trying to survive a world that is too strange, too old, and too morally messy to make sense of. Expect ensemble chaos, dense worldbuilding, absurd humour, sudden tragedy, and fantasy with teeth.
Start here if you like: morally compromised heroes, big lore, strange comedy, full-cast fantasy, and stories where the joke and the wound are usually the same thing.
But don’t take my word for it...
This show was nominated for Best Audio Drama at the New Zealand Web Fest and officially selected for the Cisco Web Fest, which is pretty good for someone who ran out of money to apply to any more festivals!
Here’s what listeners are saying:
“A journey through a creative mind like no other... I cannot begin to imagine how this creator keeps all his characters and plot lines straight, but it’s a marvel.”
“The quality and sound production are absolutely on point, but it’s the captivating writing and voice acting that keep you coming back.”
“Chaotic [affectionate]. Each arc has something unique - sometimes gut-wrenchingly funny, sometimes grounded — it keeps you on your toes.”
Extra lore, behind-the-scenes chaos, and stray thoughts at:

A science fiction anthology set in a future in which Money, State, and God became fused into a single entity called the Program. Each episode is a self-contained story focusing on ordinary people inhabiting this extraordinary world.
Best rated episodes include "White Algorithm's burden" (true crime), "Four ways to stop your system from freezing" (drama), "Contemporary Cube Theory" (academic lecture), "How to keep device drivers from crashing" (comedy), "Overclocking" (adventure), and "All unsaved progress will be lost" (alternate history).
New episodes take time but are coming out regularly. Speed up the process by becoming a supporter at www.patreon.com/programaudioseries to listen ad-free and get subscriber-exclusive episodes (including a behind-the-scenes companion series). Visit www.programaudioseries.com for more info.
Our current favourite review: "The Program is more than an audio drama ("radio drama" if you're old school) - it’s a thought experiment examining the tradeoffs between different economic and political systems (capitalism, socialism, communism, hybrid models) challenging the listener with an uncomfortable question: Would you rather live in a free society, or a fair one? The show uses speculative sociology to blur the line between utopia and dystopia, making listeners question their own reality (literally - some stories are set in a simulation). But for all its big ideas, the series never forgets the emotional core that makes it resonate. This is smart, grounded, slice-of-life sci-fi in the tradition of Octavia Butler, Ursula K. Le Guin, Ted Chiang, and Black Mirror - and all hail the algorithm that recommended it!"

A group of dangerously codependent British misfits gather around a microphone, sip cocktails, and seek a glorious demise in a Dungeons & Dragons themed actual play comedy podcast.
With a cast that includes a failed Crocoborn sorcerer, turned children’s party entertainer, a dirty old human priest, on the brink of the afterlife, a retired half-orc police officer, a sassy blue Tiefling, surrounded by bees and a retired Gnome archer with PTSD. So, if you like your plot lines thin and crispy, and your language to be saltier than a sailor's beard, welcome aboard!
Disappointing the TTRPG & D&D Community since 2020. Not suitable for little ears. This show is mostly improvised and entirely inappropriate. Listener discretion is advised.

Alestes likes to keep her head down while she works as a merchant, couriering deliveries and carrying travelers to destinations across the seas. After spending most of her life with the understanding that nothing changes, no matter how hard you fight, Alestes is faced with a choice: Will she use her new network of allies to build safe harbour and potentially a future for her new community, or will she once again put her head down and drown in her sea of excuses...

After the Apocalypse is a complete five-season post-apocalyptic science-fiction audio drama about what happens after everything familiar disappears.
The story follows ordinary people caught in the collapse of civilization and forced to figure out how to survive, whom to trust, what they are willing to fight for, and eventually how to build something new.
This is not a story about superheroes. It is survival fiction about people — flawed, frightened, funny, stubborn people — trying to make their way through a broken world. Across five seasons of serialized fiction, their stories intersect as communities form, loyalties shift, old assumptions fall away, and the survivors begin deciding what kind of world should come next.
Seasons 1 through 5 contain the complete After the Apocalypse story. The series is finished and can be listened to from beginning to end.
The podcast feed now continues as The Apocalypse Café, where I explore the world around After the Apocalypse through conversations, stories, ideas, behind-the-scenes material, and whatever else seems worth talking about while we wait to see what survives.
If you enjoy post-apocalyptic fiction, science fiction, survival stories, complete serialized audio dramas, and character-driven stories about rebuilding after catastrophe, start with Season One, Episode One.

Not Quite Dead is back, with spin-off series Snow Blood. Set years after the original story, Snow Blood follows Alfie and Neige as they attempt to start to build a better life for themselves and vampires everywhere. One problem; none of the other vampires want to help, and there is this guy who keeps calling, over and over, insisting Alfie comes to meet him... Snow Blood is crowdfunding on Kickstarter from 7th April to 8th May, 2026 and will air in October 2026.
As an A&E nurse, Alfie deals with horror everyday, but almost being killed by a walking corpse and being saved by a vampire takes things a bit far, even for him. The vampire is Casper. He’s hundreds of years old, and hell-bent on finding out what's causing walking corpses to wander the streets of Alfie's hometown.
Now they've met, Alfie and Casper can't seem to leave each other alone, despite their best efforts. Alfie learns that the relationship between vampires and humans is more complicated than just predator and prey. Whatever Casper's misgivings about his own kind, and himself, Alfie is inexorably drawn closer and closer, in a heady, carnal blend of horror, hunger, love and lust.
Not Quite Dead is a (mostly) single narrator gory horror romance audio drama exploring themes of identity, sexuality and death. Complete at 55 episodes.
This show is part of the Rusty Quill Network, and is created independently by Eira Major (AKA Hanging Sloth) who writes, sound designs, and performs as Alfie and Neige.

ABOUT THE SHOWRUNNER:
My name is Kenneth Vigue, author and narrator of this podcast. Growing up my grandmother would take me to the library in the town where I grew up every weekend. One fateful day, I ventured out of the children's room and headed up the massive Victorian staircase to the upstairs. I was awestruck by the 3-level open space, surrounded with balconies filled with books. In one cornered I wandered up to the very top level and found a dark and dusty corner room. It was filled floor to ceiling with records, which I had never seen before. I checked out "Lights Out: Murder Castle", a vintage radio horror. So began a lifelong love of the kind of audio wizardry that could be cooked up with sound long, long before television. It required an active imagination, and it cultivated it in turn.
Podcasting today has given new life to this vintage auditory art form, with groundbreaking shows such as "The NoSleep Podcast", "Limetown" and "The Black Tapes" being modern versions of classic radio drama.
With this podcast, 3 of my great loves have come together into some kind of mutated concoction of sound. My hope is to see more Fallout fans getting creative, sharing their passion and building on this amazing universe.

The Twelvelms Conspiracy is a brand new fantasy mystery audio drama from Eira Major, creator of Remnants, Not Quite Dead and Spirit Box Radio. Set in a magical world hidden just out of sight, it’s a story fraught with social and class tension, exploring ideas about what it means to belong, and what it means to live with the legacy of terrible decisions made generations ago whose consequences have shaped everything around you.
Cyan Goodman does not belong at twelvelms and everyone knows it. Especially him. The university has trained the finest mages in magedom for centuries, but Cyan only found out it existed two weeks ago. Out of his depth, with nowhere else to go, Cyan is allowed to enroll at Twelvelms under one condition; that he keeps the circumstances under which he was admitted completely secret.
To make things more complicated, the only reason he was given a space at the school at all is because another boy has gone missing, under extremely mysterious circumstances. It seems like there’s a much bigger problem lurking just out of sight at Twelvelms, one which reaches far beyond Cyan’s secrets and into the foundations of magedom itself.
Cyan narrates his story years after these events, and his circumstances have become even stranger...

Join the fight. Tell the story. Survive the lie.
The Writer is a fictional, serialised audio drama exploring the events of an imagined World War Three.
When global conflict erupts, a young writer is drafted into the Foxtrot Unit, a psychological operations team tasked with documenting the war through stories that blend truth with deception. Their mission: to control the narrative. Some of what you’ll hear is true. Some isn’t. The question is ... can you tell the difference?
All names, ranks and locations have been changed to protect the identities of those involved. Out of respect for the fallen, the rest has been told exactly as it occurred, according to the Foxtrot Unit’s classified reports.
Listener discretion is advised.

Ethan escaped a time loop. He has no idea how.
Mentally decades older and haunted by the things he did to survive, freedom means returning to the same quiet town, where the same people smile their same smiles, blissfully unaware of what happened. Unaware of what he knows about them.
Through fractured therapy sessions, a haunted inner voice, and chilling encounters with people he once knew, Ethan quietly begins dismantling the town's darkest secrets before they destroy him first.
A slow-burn psychological horror about guilt, survival, and the ugliness hiding behind ordinary lives.

Lizzie Borden Audio is a new episodic series that appeals to lovers of the dark and macabre nature of a historical true crime investigation from the famous 1892 case. Told from multiple witnesses utilizing the primary source transcripts with short musical interludes, it is the first podcast made entirely from trial testimony with humorous bits of music to accent the absurd and sometimes comical nature of the crime. All work is nonfiction and comes from the trial, the published works of Borden scholars, and the newspapers of the time.

Myth & Moon is D&D in stereo.
This high-fantasy solo-play D&D podcast weaves two storytellers into a single world of conflict, crafting dueling narratives of heroism and villainy. For fans of tabletop roleplaying games, immersive audio dramas, and classic adventures set in worlds like The Forgotten Realms—fates collide & dice decide in this thrilling exploration of good versus evil.
The show's hosts, Cooper and James, work in tandem to unveil mystery, intrigue, and conflict as two separate solo-campaigns each share one world in conflict. BLOOD RAGE MODE is a supernatural audio drama set in a reimagined Vancouver, following the fun and sometimes freaky adventures of three best friends: AG, the short-tempered but fiercely protective werewolf with a mysterious, lone wolf past (played by CK Kaur); SELENE, the indecisive city witch torn between magical majors (played by Junita Thiessen); and AVELINE, a half-vampire/elf with a peculiar blood disorder, putting her in a deep sleep one hundred years for every ten she is awake (played by Delphine Menu) .
Join these young women as they prepare to fight the “Good Boys,” a human supremacist group rising in ranks; make new friends; search for a cure to the incurable; experience budding romance... and unveil the truth.
Writer/Actor CK Kaur created this world in parallel with stories of the “supernatural” in fiction, and the real lives of marginalized people. BLOOD RAGE MODE twists stereotypes and defies typical fantasy tropes to create an empowered story for the traditionally voiceless, that better reflects the diverse world we live in. As a second-generation Canadian WOC, Kaur knows firsthand what it means to live within many different worlds occupying one space.
Director/Actor Junita Thiessen promises to deliver a show full of action, humour, and the joy of friendship between women. Thiessen also uses her unique perspective as a 2nd generation WOC in the actualisation of this story; BLOOD RAGE MODE is set against the sounds of traffic and nature, just like its real-life setting of Vancouver, just within an alternate parallel universe.

A horror anthology podcast exploring the shadows where reason falters and light dares not linger.
Shadows come in a thousand shapes—some drawn long beneath a dying sky, others drifting and lost beneath a wandering cloud. Yet one certainty has always remained: every shadow must have a caster. But what if that isn’t true? What if darkness could stand on its own?
Here, the familiar laws of nature crumble. The Tower of Teeth rises from the soil, the Corpse Flower Plague spreads its rot, and the Great Darkness of 1999 still stains the edges of memory. In these tales, science fails, faith fractures, and the night no longer needs the day to exist.
Some stories stand alone; others intertwine—threads of a greater tapestry woven from nightmare and myth. Each reveals a fragment of the truth hiding in the dark... waiting to be seen.
Welcome to a world where shadows live—and they are watching.

After Impact follows the story of Reagan Esther Myer, one of the survivors of a mysterious apocalyptic event called Impact. Shortly after joining the pilot program for ThotBot, a brain implant that erases "harmful" memories and dulls emotions, she begins her life living in an abandoned shopping mall and producing survivalist tutorials for a crumbling world. Shortly after arriving at her new post, she finds a cassette tape detailing her very own journey from the day of Impact -- June 21, 1995 -- up until the day she joins The ULTRA.
This dystopian audio drama is one of four multi-platform "Episodes" that tell the story of Reagan Esther Myer and the ThotBot Storyworld. In addition to this tale, there are also three performance-based Episodes: an interactive installation, a multimedia musical, and an immersive theater show. Whereas each Episode stands alone narratively, together they weave a sprawling story across a mid-90s timeline.

Frequently Asked Questions About Audit Drama Podcasts
What is an audio drama podcast?
An audio drama podcast is a type of podcast that tells a fictional story using sound effects, music, and voice actors. It's essentially a radio play that you can listen to on demand. Audio dramas can cover a wide range of genres, from science fiction and fantasy to crime and mystery.
What are some popular audio drama podcasts?
Some popular audio drama podcasts include Welcome to Night Vale, The Bright Sessions, Limetown, The Magnus Archives, and We're Alive.
How are audio dramas different from traditional audiobooks or radio dramas?
Audio dramas differ from traditional audiobooks in that they use sound effects and music to create a more immersive experience. They also often feature a full cast of voice actors, whereas audiobooks are usually narrated by a single person. Audio dramas are similar to radio dramas, but the main difference is that they are distributed as podcasts and can be listened to on demand rather than at a specific broadcast time.
What makes a good audio drama podcast?
A good audio drama podcast should have compelling characters, an engaging plot, and high-quality production values. The voice acting should be top-notch, and the sound effects and music should add to the overall atmosphere of the story. Good pacing is also important - the story should move along at a steady pace without feeling rushed or dragging on too long.
Can audio dramas be educational?
Yes, audio dramas can be educational. While they are primarily a form of entertainment, some audio dramas incorporate historical or scientific facts into their stories. For example, the audio drama podcast "The History of Rome" tells the story of the Roman Empire in an engaging and educational way. "The Bright Sessions" incorporates mental health themes and discussions about therapy into its fictional plot. Additionally, many audio dramas explore complex social issues, such as racism, sexism, and homophobia, which can be both entertaining and thought-provoking.
