I grew up gay, Catholic, and deeply ashamed. And most of my shame points back to the church. For the very first episode of Unshaming, I sat down with the one person who started to change that for me — Father Jim Martin, one of the most outspoken advocates for LGBT people in the Catholic Church today.
He is also the author of a new book called Work in Progress and leads “Outreach”, the ministry bringing LGBTQ Catholics back to the Church. He has over 1 million followers across social media and has become one of the most important and controversial figures in American Catholicism.
