Welcome to foHRsight – a podcast about making work better brought to you by future foHRward.
In today’s episode we unpack one of our favourite topics ... human-centred leadership – a term that gets mixed feedback from people but an approach to leadership that is certainly building traction.
We share our simple definition – taking care of the people so they people can take care of the business.
We outline why we need human-centred leadership more than ever and how organizations can think about introducing this approach to their organizations.
We reference a few resources:

Welcome to foHRsight – a podcast about making work better brought to you by future foHRward.
In this week’s episode, Naomi has the opportunity to chat with former future foHRward conference keynote speaker, Gary A. Bolles. Gary is author of "The Next Rules of Work", Chair for the Future of Work, Singularity University and Co-founder, eParachute.com.
In this far-ranging conversation, Gary shares his perspective about trends or threats (he doesn’t like the term predictions!), what he calls the WorkNet (what we call the worker ecosystem), the important roles of leaders (or what he prefers to call the Team Guide) and shares some examples of organizations who are adopting these new ways of working.
He also explores the impact of exponential change when it comes to changes like AI and how we should be thinking about it as a tool – not a partner or a work colleague – and he also has an interesting analogy for black swan events.
You can get access to all of Gary’s writing including the LinkedIn Learning courses he mentioned here - https://www.gbolles.com/.

•50m
Welcome to foHRsight – a podcast about making work better brought to you by future foHRward.
Today’s episode we get to chat with Liane Davey who is bold mission to radically change how people communicate, connect and contribute so they can achieve amazing things together!
They have an energizing conversation (filled with some fantastic metaphors) about hybrid work, the return to office and what has changed for leaders and organizations. She introduces us to a new term for leaders - performance permanence where they don’t believe their people are being productive – and encourages all leaders to think about defining performance outcomes more broadly.
They dig deep into productive tension, healthy conflict based on insights from Liane’s 2019 book The Good Fight. They also talk about the importance of building trust through community when it comes to team effectiveness and the role HR can play in building productive conflict.
They also explore burnout inspired by Liane’s campaign NO-vember and she offers some of her favourite productivity hacks.
You can access the video about Liane’s bullet journal here - https://www.lianedavey.com/bullet-journaling-for-busy-professionals-2/ .
