(EP 38)We visit San Diego's Little Italy and hear not one but TWO lively interviews with Luca at Civico 1845. Does he have an Italian accent? Of course! Will you understand him? Listen and find out! Because in this episode, I'm only giving the transcript of my introduction. For the interview, you are on your own, but I promise it will be fun! [TRANSCRIPT OF INTRO BELOW] Hi everybody! Wait a minute, let me start again. Hi everybody, and welcome back to another episode of Unexpected English, your favorite English podcast. Ha ha, I know it is... NOT! But that's OK because I'm happy because I have a special, an especially good Italian episode for you. I know you’re thinking, “Wait a minute! I listen to this podcast for English not Italian!” OOO K, OK that's true., but in this episode we're going to Little Italy in San Diego, to one of the best known restaurants there. And I had a quick visit, and I had a lot of fun, and actually I did the interview twice which I normally don't do. And instead of editing the interview, I will just play it for you. I will play both versions for you. And because I'm doing that, and because I'm lazy, and because it's Italian-accented English, I'm not going to do a transcript. So if you're in Italy, I think you can understand what’s said. And anybody else, hey just enjoy it, right? Just have fun because that's why we’re here. OK, here we go! ----> Thanks for sharing with your friends on social, and thanks for following Unexpected English on Spotify, Apple or wherever you do! (EP 39) This wraps up not only Season Two of Unexpected English, but also 2019! Season's Greetings and best wishes to all for a Happy and Prosperous New Year! TRANSCRIPT: (Musical Intro) Hi everybody! Welcome back to Unexpected English! And I want to thank Mr... (name deleted in case Bob's lawyers don't like it) for playing that introduction and for recording maybe in the worst Christmas album of all time! My opinion! I mean, c'mon, that was Bob (name deleted for to protect myself) singing "Here comes Santa Claus!" Really? Well, that shows where we're at! And where were at is... is December and coming close to Christmas, but not really coming close to an episode. That's right. But you can keep on listening just for fun because I'm gonna play a little more crazy Christmas music for you. How about that? A little more crazy Christmas music for YOU! Right now! OK! (Musical interlude) All right, have you had enough Christmas spirit yet, or do you need little more? OK I know it's not an English learning episode but it's Christmas time, right? So we're supposed to have fun! And.. that's why I'm playing this music for you and I promise you this: we'll do one more little clip and then I'll have a serious message for you. OK? All right! (Musical interlude) OK, thanks for letting me have a little bit of fun with the music. And now I do have a message for you, because I want you to know that I know that you are doing lots of good things to improve your English. I mean, listening to this podcast is one, but I know you do a lot more, and I know what that means is you're getting better and better. And every day is getting better and better! And let's hope this New Year is going to get better and better. So I wanna take you out with one of my favorites Mr. Van (name deleted in case Van's lawyers don't like it) with some great thoughts to carry on into the New Year. Here we go! Better and Better!
