Aging seems to be all fun and games until you pass legal drinking age. Some people begin to age much sooner than others, while others seem to have golden genetics of youth on their side. What if you found out that scientific research is now able to reverse your biological clock up to 3 years? You may be skeptical, you may be curious, or you may be excited for what this means to your future. Dr. Kara Fitzgerald is a functional medicine physician and clinical director that just published a new book for the non-medical people trying to improve their health and age more gracefully called Younger You. She’s joining Tom and revealing everything you don’t know about methylation and epigenetics, why it matters to you and the simple things you can do to gain back 3 years of your biological clock in roughly 8 weeks.

Whether we know it or not, much of our success in business and in life depends on our ability to negotiate effectively. From buying a house or car to negotiating your salary to coming to an agreement with your partner - negotiation is a game-changing skill that everyone should master.
In today’s episode of Impact Theory, master negotiator Chris Voss shares some of the most important takeaways he’s learned over the years, both as a 24-year veteran of the FBI, and as the founder and CEO of The Black Swan Group - a world-class negotiation consulting firm.
Chris has been on the front lines of some of the most high-stakes hostage negotiations of the last 20 years, and the depth of his knowledge of human psychology is apparent throughout the whole conversation.
To learn more about the art of effective negotiation, I highly encourage you to read Chris’ bestselling book, Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It. https://amzn.to/356ckub

What is reality? What is the nature of consciousness? How do we know that what we are experiencing is base reality and not a simulation?
These may seem like the kind of questions that you’d associate with modern concepts like The Matrix and simulation theory, but the fact is that every ancient philosophical tradition has wrestled with these problems in some form or another.
And with the advent of rich, complex VR worlds and the nascent metaverse, even more philosophers are turning toward these deep questions of consciousness and the human experience.
One of the most interesting thinkers in this space is David Chalmers, Professor of Philosophy and Neural Science at New York University, and co-director of the Center for Mind, Brain, and Consciousness.
In his latest book, Reality+: virtual worlds and the problems of philosophy, David investigates not only the nature of reality, but how we should conceptualize virtual reality, the idea that we can actually live a meaningful life in VR, how we know there’s an external world, and much more.
We explore these topics and more in today’s wide-ranging conversation, covering everything from the hard problem of consciousness to the probability that we’re actually living in a computer simulation.
You don’t have to be a student of philosophy to enjoy today’s conversation - especially if you’re as excited as I am about the possibilities being unlocked by virtual reality and the metaverse.
And if you want to dive deeper into David’s work, you can order his new book, Reality+, by clicking here: https://amzn.to/3vMSS0v
