In part 2 we take a walk down memory lane with former Ipswich , Everton and Leicester striker Ian Marshall lifting the lid on a wonderful 411 game 18-year professional football career.
Ian Marshall began his 18-year footballing career by coming through the youth ranks at Everton who at the time was one of the biggest clubs in England.
Ian Marshall went on to make 15 appearances at Everton scoring one goal finding playing time hard to come by with players such as
Wayne Clarke.
Goalkeeper Neville Southall.
Striker and England international Gary Lineker
Midfielder Peter Reid
all under the Everton legend and probably their best ever manager in Howard Kendall.
Ian then moved on to Oldham F.C appearing in 170 games scoring 36 goals. Appearing under former Ipswich Town manager and Oldham Athletic manager and ITFC legend Joey Royle.
Ian Marshall recalls with brutal honesty;
How much he loved his time with Joe Royle and Oldham seeing crowds rise from 3 thousand to well over 18 thousand.
Ian Marshall lifts the lid on how he and Oldham manager Joe Royle came to fall out in a bitter spat in what Ian felt was a lack of respect shown to him following a long and difficult season.
This row ultimately lead to Ian Marshall's move away from Oldham and in the summer of 1993 joining Ipswich Town F.C for 750k, which in today's market would be a 1.5 million pounds fee. So even by today's standards a lot of money for a club such as Ipswich Town F.C
Upon joining ITFC under then Ipswich Town manager John Lyall Ian Marshall become a quick fan favourite appearing in 84 games and scoring 32 goals.
Ian Marshall discusses
Forming the M squad for Ipswich Town F.C with Alex Matthie, Paul Mason and Simon Milton
What it was like seeing a friend and manager John Lyall sacked in the winter of 1994 as Ipswich Town F.C manager
Ian then goes into great detail on what happened between Ian and Ipswich manager George Burley leading to their heated argument.
Ian goes into detail on that 9-0 defeat to Manchester Utd. Where the finger should have been pointed and how did the senior players deal with the fallout
Join as Ian goes through his whole career with brutal honesty leaving nothing out.

In part 1 we will discuss all things football from the Premier League to League 1 and everything
in between.
We will start with Looking at how the league 1 weekend has affected Ipswich Town F.C after not playing due to Bury Town F.C
going out of business.
Did Wycombe beating Shrewsbury in League 1 hurt us? Likewise following Darren Fergurson mouthing off in the press about Ipswich Town F.C did Peterborough manage to record a victory? Or did Ian Marshall's
old club and last club Blackpool turn up and grab the victory.
We discuss if results went the ITFC lads way or did a weekend off a bad thing.
We ask Ian Marshall if in his career
he has ever had a start like Ipswich Town F.C have had following a relegation.
We then move onto Rochdale where as always the Ipswich Town F.C team will be backed by a fan base that has snapped up the Ipswich Town tickets
and how the team will play there Tuesday Night.
Will the team line up in a 3-5-2
or will Paul Lambert stick with a tried and tested 4-4-2. Is Kane Vincent-Young the exciting Ipswich Town full-back going to be missing for any length of time? If so how does the ITFC team go about changing him?
We ask Ian Marshall whether he has a preference for a formation...and if He agrees with ITFC manager
Paul Lambert on whether its players that win games not systems.
Join us as we discuss football with a player who made over 400 appearances scored over 90 goals
and had a pro footballing career for over 18 years with plenty of stories along the way.
