Today’s podcast features two separate, unique, stories that are both themed around the same thing, strange events that took place in the wild. The first story you will hear is called, “The Russian Death March,” and it’s about an event that was so terrifying, the one person who survived it could not speak when she finally stumbled, bloody and terrified, out of the forest. The second story you will hear is called, “Bells Canyon,” and it’s one of, if not the most, talked about episodes in the entire MrBallen content catalogue; It is about a solo hiker who comes face to face with a very strange nighttime visitor

On September 6th, 1988, a middle aged woman named Cindy Borton, was washing dishes in her little house in Shenandoah, Iowa. As she did this, she heard a knock on her back door. She glanced at her watch and saw that she only had a few minutes before she had to get ready for work, and so she just hoped that whoever was there, was not expecting a long visit.... A few hours later, the police would arrive at Cindy’s house and they would discover a crime scene so gruesome, that they had to call in a special investigative unit just to process it.

On the morning of August 10th, 1991, in a little rural town in Arizona, two women walked across a parking lot toward a Buddhist temple. They were there to prepare a meal for the monks who lived inside. As they walked, the women noticed that none of the monks were outside meditating or gardening, which was strange. And, when they reached the front door, not only was it locked, which was strange, but also, there was also this huge puddle of water forming in front of it which they just couldn't understand. The women sensed something was off, but they shrugged and left the front door, and found an open door on the side of the building and went inside. Minutes later, those women would come running back out, hysterical, screaming for help.
