The year was 1971 and I had just gotten discharged from the Navy and was enrolling in Bible College to prepare for ministry. A contemporary Christian band called Ocean released a song that was one of my favorites and one I played and sang regularly. The song was titled, "Put Your Hand in the Hand." My encouragement to you today as you step into the New Year is to hold on! Put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the waters.

In today's episode, I share a story from two Uber rides I did yesterday. Let's start 2020 with gratefulness in our hearts and appreciation for others. In today's episode I want to be provocative. I want to provoke you to provoke others to love and good works. That's the message of Hebrews 10:24-25. It's a positive thing and one that should be part of your mission today. "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching."
