They discuss what teams REALLY focus on in testing, whether glory laps are real and what chances the teams realistically have this season, in brutal, but entertaining terms. Also, Carter spills the beans as to the REAL cause of Renault engine woes at the start of the hybrid era and dissects the reasons why certain teams run far less than others in testing (Hint: It’s not always the PU, sometimes it’s a word that rhymes with money). Finally, F1 TV, new race locations, and naturally the eponymous Carter directive somehow manage to make our docket, as if we weren’t busy enough!
