Preceding his work on The 8-Bit Big Band, starting from 2012, he was the bandleader of Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band, where he arranged classic musical theater numbers into music able to be performed by a jazz orchestra and would feature Broadway performers as the vocalists. As of April 2019, he primarily features as a guitarist in the Broadway musical Be More Chill. 8-Bit Big Band - The 8-Bit Big Band is a 30-65 member Jazz/Pops orchestra that formed to celebrate and realize some of the best musical themes written from various video games from all consoles! The members of the 8-Bit Big Band come from all around the world, but most reside primarily in New York City, and are some of the most highly sought-after musicians and performers, all gamers at heart who enjoy playing their favorite games of all time!In May of 2018, the 8-Bit Big Band released its first album "Press Start!" which features the music of the Super Mario series, The Zelda series, Ganbare Goemon, F-Zero, and Final Fantasy. We sit down with video game rocker Jules Conroy, better known as FamilyJules, as he talks about starting a one-man band, coming up as an online star, and more! FamilyJules - FamilyJules, or Jules, is an American guitarist best known for his video game music guitar arrangements on his channel at YouTube.com by the same name. He plays various instruments including Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Classical Guitar, Cello, Keyboard, and Ocarina and studied Classical Guitar in college. He has arranged, recorded, mixed, and mastered over a hundred covers and medleys of his favorite video game music into various genres such as Rock, Metal, Acoustic, and even Ska, Reggae, and Jazz. When he isn't playing guitar he enjoys playing video games on his live Twitch.Tv channel so he can try new games and talk to his fans live and answer any questions they have. Jules will always describe himself as a musician before he’s a gamer, but obviously, he held a controller years before he held a guitar. Even though he was born on June 11th, 1991, his first experiences with video games were playing the NES and Atari. His first game ever was the original Super Mario Bros. and soon moved on to games like The Legend of Zelda and Castlevania. He then played games for the Nintendo 64 for many years, even after the GameCube and other consoles came out. They say comedy is the best medicine, well we hope it is as we have on TikTok star and comedian Ryan Kelly (Youth Pastor Ryan). Ryan Kelly - Ryan Kelly was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri where he started comedy as an improviser. He was trained at schools such as IO, Second City, UCB, and Groundlings. He then ventured off to college where he wanted to try new exciting things, and thus he began his foray into performing stand-up comedy. He has performed stand-up comedy around the Midwest, in Missouri, Michigan, and Chicago, Illinois. His affinity for having absurd life experiences helped create his storytelling style of comedy and the fact that he looks like a youth pastor made sure he kept it clean. His wild stories from negotiating a better deal during a mugging, surviving a plane crash, and being tackled inside the NSA will leave you laughing and captivated.
