From Dr. Campbell:

There is no easy way through life. There are two kinds of people, those who cheat, lie, steal and manipulate their way through life, with no wisdom. Then there are those who live life from the truth, authenticity, responsibility, self-examination and tenacity. We each get to decide who and how we want to go about doing this thing called life. When people live selfishly cheating their way through, life will not allow them to keep anything of any depth, substance or permanence. Everything these selfish people love will eventually leave them. Problem is, these types of people do not care because they do not love. This is painful for those of us who live life from substance, depth, and truth. We cannot understand how a human being can actually be as selfish, irresponsible and callous as toxic people are. We want to believe they are simply missing something that you could easily teach them. So, we start to put in the effort to help them, and they simply spin us like a top. The wisdom to hold is to know when enough is enough when dealing with the manipulators in our life. Wisdom is knowing we don’t want to waste one more minute with a person who fails to take any accountability for the hurt they cause. It is a wiser decision to leave them just like everyone else before us has. In reality, this is what they want, or they would have shown up and done better. So, let them be the horrible people they make the choice to be as you move forward to better.
