Join us on the next episode of Crime Salad where we examine the murder of 6 innocent members of the Stay family and the attempted murder of 15 year old Cassidy Stay at the hands of a depraved family member. Cassidy's ex-uncle Ronald Lee Haskell was out for vengeance when his ex-wife laughed at him and high fived her sister Katie Stay on the day she was finally granted her divorce. Katie Stay also helped her sister, Melanie Haskell escape Utah and her abusive ex to be closer to her family in Spring, Texas. Before Haskell carried out his evil revenge plot against the Stay family, he had a run in with his own family. In a shocking turn of events, the victims of that attack used Haskell's previous attacks to bolster his defense strategy. They believed his attack on his own family days earlier would help prove his claims of innocence by reason of insanity or mental defect. Despite these efforts to avoid responsibility, a Texas Jury passed down the ultimate judgment on Ronald Haskell where he now sits on Texas Death row. Support us! Want ad free listening? At first her family thought the health enthusiast died from an undiagnosed medical condition. However, within a few weeks it was discovered she had been poisoned and those closest to her became the prime suspects.
