I’ve spent over 20 years studying the emotions and experiences that bring meaning and purpose to our lives, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s this: we are hardwired for connection, and connecting requires courage, vulnerability, and conversation. I want this to be a podcast that’s real, unpolished, honest, and reflects both the magic and the messiness of what it means to be human. Episodes will include conversations with the people who are teaching me, challenging me, confusing me, or maybe even ticking me off a little. I'll also have direct conversations with you about what I’m learning from new research, and we'll do some episodes dedicated to answering your questions. We don’t have to do life alone. We were never meant to. Part of the Vox Media Podcast Network.

My career is an accident. It started when I set out to rediscover my passion and reignite a spark I’d lost — and that journey led me to the work I do now. If you know me from my books or my speaking, you know I’m fascinated by why people do what they do. What makes someone find joy and meaning in their life, or pursue something far greater than themselves? I started A Bit of Optimism to explore those ideas and expand my own perspective. This podcast is a trove of honest conversations, with people who challenge me, teach me, or simply help me see things in a different way. Some guests are household names, and others you may be meeting for the first time. But each one of them has something to share that can help all of us grow. So if you’re looking for a spark — some insight, inspiration, or just a reminder that good things are possible — join me on A Bit of Optimism! Let’s grow together.

Nutrition advice has never been easier to find. Knowing which advice you can trust has never been harder.

Every day brings another headline, social media trend, or viral nutrition claim telling you what to eat, what to avoid, or which supplement will change your life. Much of it sounds convincing. Much of it isn't supported by the evidence.

Nutrition Diva helps you separate nutrition science from nutrition myths so you can make confident decisions about your health.

Each week, Monica Reinagel, MS, LDN, translates evidence-based nutrition into plain English, breaking down the latest research and explaining what it really means for your everyday life. Instead of sensational headlines and fad diets, you'll get practical nutrition guidance you can understand—and use.

Whether you're trying to build healthier eating habits, lose weight, improve metabolic health, support healthy aging, or reduce your risk of chronic disease, every episode helps you make smarter nutrition decisions with confidence.

Topics include healthy eating, balanced diets, gut health, probiotics, supplements, vitamins, weight management, intermittent fasting, Mediterranean and high-protein diets, food labels, processed foods, cholesterol, inflammation, diabetes prevention, heart health, longevity, and the latest nutrition research.

You'll also hear Monica break down popular wellness trends, explain emerging nutrition science, evaluate supplement claims, and separate food myths from nutrition facts so you can spend less time wondering who to believe and more time building healthy habits that last.

Regular features include listener questions, myth busting, fact vs. fad, and expert interviews exploring the science behind the nutrition questions people ask most.

If you're looking for nutrition science you can trust—and practical guidance that fits real life—subscribe to the Nutrition Diva.

Season 12 premiered October 20, 2024 – a nonfictional account of The Martian Revolution of 2247. Mike Duncan is taking everything he's learned from 12 seasons of historical revolutions - the repeating arcs, characters, ideas, events, and patterns which all revolutions seem to follow - and created a fictional history of the Martian Revolution of 2247. The series is written from the point of view of a historian working hundreds of years after the Martian Revolution and will be presented in the style and format of previous seasons of Revolutions. It will look, sound, and feel like a Mike Duncan history podcast...but will instead be a fictional narrative of a gripping science-fiction epic. Revolutions is a podcast that covers the great political revolutions that have defined the modern world. Each season is a long-form narrative covering a different defining revolutionary epoch across three hundred years of history. It explores in great detail the people, ideas, and events that challenged and toppled outdated regimes and replaced them with new governments. After more than 350 episodes over ten seasons of narrative nonfiction, the 12th season is a fictional account of the Martian Revolution of 2247. *BREAKING NEWS* In the fall of 2025, the Revolutions podcast will return to its roots by diving into the great revolutions of the 20th century. The new run of episodes begins with the story of Irish Independence, a dramatic upheaval in the wake of WWI that saw Ireland free itself from centuries of English rule. Full of inspiring personalities, tragic events, and thrilling triumphs, Irish Independence is one of the most gripping events in revolutionary history. Future seasons will plunge ahead through the turbulent 20th century, and include the Spanish Civil War, the Cuban Revolution, and the Algerian War of Independence.

Trailer Park: The Art & Science of Podcast Trailers showcases, analyzes, and helps creators craft podcast trailers. We hit play on podcast trailers and then we break them down – introducing new shows to listeners AND helping creators make their next short form masterpiece.

Whether trailers precede full podcast seasons, were made as creative proofs of concept, were left in the pilot drawer, are for podcasts that have long since podfaded, or were made just for fun, they're welcome here at the park!

In each episode, hosts Arielle Nissenblatt will hit 'play' on a trailer. Then, she'll analyze it. What worked? What fell short? Did the music match? Does the trailer match the rest of the show?

Why do we love podcast trailers?

  • As a podcast discovery tool
  • To help creators get their projects funded
  • To create learning opportunities for audio creators

The fact that you came across Morning Microdose is not a coincidence, it’s a synchronicity, we know it...and you’ll soon find out why. Welcome to an experience that will prime your mind, body and soul for a beautiful day ahead... all in less than ten minutes! Our minds are so impressionable in the morning. Yet how often are we intentional about what we consume and do? Long ago our mornings kicked off with a dirty scroll on Instagram, followed by an energy drink and an intense HIIT workout, underscored by loud music and lots of yelling. Peace and clarity, UH NO! Morning Microdose was born from our commitment to sacred mornings. There are so many choices when it comes to what we consume on a daily basis — from what we put in our mouths, take in with our eyes, touch with our hands, and listen to with our ears. We’re passionate about offering an audible journey for you to set the tone for your day and feel inspired by thought provoking conversations. We curated some of our favorite short, powerful excerpts from the Almost 30 Podcast, hosted by Krista Williams and Lindsey Simcik. Our intention is for you to wake up with us, both literally and spiritually. Each episode is meant to help you step into the highest version of yourself. Our groovy guests often describe our conversations together as being in a vortex. It feels transcendental... time dissipates and we feel expansive in both our mind and heart. We started Morning Microdose, so you too could “enter the vortex” five days a week, Monday-Friday.
