Who am I?
ADHD advocate + movement builder. 20+ years amplifying unheard voices and challenging systemic injustice. I talk about the ADHD truths people are scared to say out loud — masking, shame, burnout, trauma, and the stories we were told to hide. Reframing ADHD as identity, power, and liberation through lived experience and unfiltered honesty. Host of ADHD Reframed. Reclaim ADHD. No Shame. No Silence. I chose to create ADHD Reframed because I spent years watching ADHD adults — especially late‑diagnosed, masked‑out, burnt‑out adults — fall through the cracks of systems that were supposed to help them. After two decades advocating for vulnerable people, I saw the same patterns repeat: stigma, dismissal, misdiagnosis, medical gaslighting, and a complete misunderstanding of what ADHD actually looks like in real life. My own lived experience made it impossible to stay silent. I knew what it felt like to be misunderstood, to push through burnout, to mask until it hurt, and to believe I was the problem when the system was the one failing me. When I finally understood my ADHD, everything clicked — not just for me, but for the thousands of people I’d supported over the years who had been carrying the same invisible weight. This podcast exists because adults with ADHD deserve truth, not stereotypes. They deserve compassion, not shame. They deserve language for experiences they were never allowed to name. And they deserve a space where their stories aren’t minimised, pathologised, or dismissed — but honoured. ADHD isn’t just a diagnosis. It’s identity. It’s survival. It’s liberation. And it’s time we reframed it — loudly, unapologetically, and together.
My Show
What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?
ADHD Reframed is a podcast that exposes the real, lived experience of ADHD in adults — not the stereotypes, not the watered‑down versions, and not the deficit‑based narrative we were all taught. It’s about unmasking the truth of ADHD: the shame, the burnout, the survival strategies, the emotional impact, and the identity shifts that come with finally understanding your brain The podcast dives into the parts of ADHD that are rarely talked about — masking, medical gaslighting, late diagnosis, trauma, executive dysfunction, emotional dysregulation, and the systems that fail ADHDers every day. Through lived experience, advocacy, and unfiltered honesty, you guide listeners through reframing ADHD as something rooted in resilience, humanity, and power. At its core, the podcast is a movement. A space for late‑diagnosed adults, masked‑out survivors, and anyone who has ever been dismissed, misunderstood, or told they were “too much.” A place where people finally feel seen, validated, and understood.
What is my podcast playlist about?
Every episode of ADHD Reframed comes from the same place: the gap between what ADHD adults live and what the world thinks ADHD is. For more than 20 years, you’ve sat with people who were dismissed, misdiagnosed, gaslit, or told their struggles were “just anxiety,” “just stress,” or “just laziness.” You’ve watched systems fail them. You’ve watched shame take root. You’ve watched people mask themselves into burnout because they thought they had no other choice. the late‑diagnosed adult who finally understands why life felt so hard the person who has never heard ADHD spoken about with compassion the person who masked for decades and doesn’t know who they are underneath

I’m Tracy Otsuka, your host. I’m a lawyer, not a doctor, a lifelong learner, and a certified ADHD coach. I’m on a mission to change the conversation around ADHD because I believe it’s time to focus on the strengths that come with our unique brains. When I was diagnosed eight months after my son, my entire life finally made sense, yet all I read and heard about ADHD focused on what I should struggle with. What I discovered, though, was that my ADHD was responsible for some of my greatest strengths.

Another thing we constantly hear is all the success stories about ADHD men, but no one talks about the women. This podcast is here to change that. ADHD women are my people, and I’m here to acknowledge, support, and cheer them on. My experience as an adult living with ADHD, along with my expertise, is regularly sought out by top-tier media, including Bloomberg, Forbes, CBS Mornings, ABC News Live, Inc., Prevention Magazine, Verywell Mind, ADDitude magazine, and The Goal Digger Podcast, etc.
